Baltimore Glory - Month Seven: The Celebrated Harp

Month Seven of Baltimore Glory provides the pattern for The Celebrated Harp block.  The block is 15 inches square (finished size).  The block is Sue's favorite one in Baltimore Glory because of the delicately embroidered cherry stems, the beautiful symmetry of the cherry wreath around the harp, and the abundance of red and green fabrics in the block.  

This block-of-the-month has ten parts; the first nine patterns are each for a different album block and the tenth pattern provides instructions on setting the blocks and assembling the quilt top.  The patterns for the blocks each contain guidance for pre-work, off-unit applique, illustrated order-of-applique, embellishment, and alternatives that can either simplify or "dress up" your quilt.

Baltimore Glory, when finished, measures 87-1/2 inches square.
